We're once again pleased to be exhibiting at the ILP's annual Lightscene event! Lightscene 2019 will be hosted at Uttoxeter Racecouse on the 17th of October.
This year's event is a particularly exciting one, as the key themes will cover the role of the local authority lighting engineer, a subject which is very close to our hearts here at CRT following the 2019 National Lighting Survey. For a full list of event themes and CPD topics, please visit the Institution of Lighting Professionals website here.
We'll be bringing fully accessible models of our lanterns with us for you to examine and handle, including our SLX range and the Kingswood Range of heritage housings. If you're not able to make it to Lightscene this year but would still like to have a conversation with one of our engineers or to handle our luminaires, please get in touch.
The Carbon Reduction Technology team will be available throughout the event on stand 20.

Handle the new Kingswood Range of lanterns
As you may know, we recently released a new range of ornamental lanterns: The Kingswood Range. The line features a range of popular models which can be used to fill gaps in retrofit projects (where a minority of assets don't meet retrofitting standards) or installed as part of a full replacement project.
We'll be bringing working samples of some of our favourite models to the show for you to handle. We know lighting specialists and engineers like to get hands-on with products so every lantern will be fully accessible for external and internal inspection!

Once again we've been out and about visiting customers with our exceptional Marmalade Toast photographer in tow. This time, it was the turn of Volvo CE in Motherwell, Scotland - the highbay project which recently won a Lux Award!
We are delighted to announce that Carbon Reduction Technology (CRT), in collaboration with enModus and Terex, Volvo, have been shortlisted for a Lux Award this November, in the Industrial and Transport Lighting Project of the Year category.
The entry focuses on the project to retrofit the Terex, Volvo facility in Motherwell, Scotland with super efficient LED high bay lighting and a revolutionary Smart Control System which operates and communicates using the power lines. The ongoing project has also been the focus of a recent Carbon Trust case study.
CRT Director Alan Robson comments: "We're obviously thrilled to have been shortlisted; it's a testament to the hard work and innovation of everyone involved in the project that we've made it through the initial stages, not to mention the incredible drive and motivation which Terex, Volvo have demonstrated in their mission to become carbon neutral. Representatives from all three companies will be attending the awards dinner in November, which we're all very much looking forward to. Whatever the result, it promises to be a night to remember."
