Sports and leisure facilities require a specific lighting approach, considerable design diversity and a larger range of luminaire models. A lighting upgrade can offer not only large energy savings, but a better quality of light, colour rendering and aesthetic.

In speciality areas, such as squash courts and sports halls, exceptionally uniform light distribution is required, with no areas of shadow. In pool areas, even light distribution is a significant safety concern, along with a requirement for excellent colour rendering.

Areas such as squash courts require even lighting not just at floor level, but the full height of the court walls as well, which we are able to achieve with a versatile luminaire design, without having to add additional fixtures and raise energy expenditure.

In addition to improving safety by reducing shadow, we primarily retrofit this type of facility with luminaires from our W-Range, which operate using smash-proof solid acrylic rods.
