The Waveguide Lighting product range was formally acquired by Carbon Reduction Technology in May, 2019.

Carbon Reduction Technology had been reselling Waveguide luminaires for a number of years when the Birmingham-based company went into administration. The highly efficient anti-glare light injection technology provided the ideal humancentric low ceiling addition to our pre-existing range of exterior and high bay fittings.

The Technology
Our Waveguide luminaires take a unique approach to light projection and controlling undesirable factors such as glare. This patented 'light injection' approach is exclusive to Carbon Reduction Technology.

Unique Approach
Light is injected into flawless acrylic rods, which acts as a mixing chamber, creating a homogeneous (solid) source of light. The technology is unique to Waveguide luminaires.

Versatile Uniformity
The application of a reflective coating to the upper side of the injected rod allows us to very precisely direct extremely uniform, diffused light with full control of beam width and direction. This not only allows for very even lighting at ground level but at higher levels where more three-dimensional illumination is required.

Humancentric
The nature of light injection technology makes it extremely humancentric, and ideally suited for lower ceiling environments with people below, as it almost completely eliminates glare. Waveguide luminaires are some of the most comfortable luminaires on the market.
