LIGHTING DESIGN FOR

INDUSTRIAL & MANUFACTURING

Manufacturing & Production

A lighting upgrade is a natural step for facilities wishing to reducing carbon, cut back on energy consumption or improve light quality. Addressing the lighting provides a minimum disruption option with a quick payback - typically around eighteen months.

Lighting design for manufacturing and production requires a different approach to spaces such as warehousing, as there tends to be more activity below and layout tends to be less uniform. Daylight harvest is a great automation option for manufacturing and can boost savings significantly if a facility has pre-existing skylights or windows.

The superior colour rendering of LED in comparison to older technology such as high pressure sodium or halogen makes white or yellow safety and hazard lines far easier to see, more recognisable at a distance and better defined.

Manufacturing and production facilities often choose to upgrade administrative lighting at the same time. Please see our Office Lighting page for more information on adding this to your lighting project.
